oh come on now, had Bush attended a racist church we would never hear the end of itOriginally posted by PM-Junkie View PostThankfully that majority of Americans are more interested in his policies than what church he happened to go to. It's only religious nut-jobs like you that attach importance to it.
no chance- the Christian right will emerge again once Obama pushes through immoral laws onto the American peoplePeople hated Bush because he was a dangerous, incompetent, warmongering idiot who was only in power because the religious right in the USA backed him - and had he managed to stay in power another 4 years we would have had WW3. Americans are aware of that...and the days of the religious nutters holding sway over US politics have come to an end as a result. Hopefully for good.
complete rubbish. people who equate islam with Christianity are clearly uneducated about the respective religions. The christian fundamentalism that held power for the 8 years of Bush's administration was just as dangerous and just as evil as islamic fundamentalism....and they have done the religious cause huge damage in the US. For that, I am grateful.

It wasn't Bush's religion that made people call him stupid, it's because his actions and behaviour show he IS stupid.Originally posted by contractor79 View Postno it's true that Obama attended a very liberal and racist Church for 20 years but this seems to be a non-issue whereas Bush's religion was a big deal and provided justification for some to call him stupid
Obama sends more troops to the middle east and the anti-war mob don't complain. It seems the left apply double standards to democrat presidents compared to republican presidents.

I think the poor guy might be being lent on rather heavily. Post Election Obama seems a bit more sheepish with regards to foreign policy than Pre Election Obama.

no it's true that Obama attended a very liberal and racist Church for 20 years but this seems to be a non-issue whereas Bush's religion was a big deal and provided justification for some to call him stupid. They don't say Obama was stupid when he messed up his inauguration thing.

For someone who promised so much change he has not changed a thing.
I found it funny that the anti war coalition had 'yes we can' banners and that day a USA drone killed a dozen folk in Pakistan.

Why's that - because he's not a twisted little bible thumper who thinks he's doing "god's bidding" and therefore anything goes?
I think the world's had far more than it needs of that sort of US leader thanks all the same. Whether the world will recover from the last one remains to be seen.
