I'm amazed they bother given the feeling of most British IT bods, does anyone here actually give them the time of day?

Techmahindra right?
I think BT outsourced all their contract hire to them.
Amazingly, they are even worse than UK based pimps. But cheaper.

Its happening more - Indian Recuiters are rumoured to charge as low as 5% on both Contract and Perm and they have a local presence in the UK, normally London as well - which is essentially an offshore guy - Onshore lol.

It happens from time to time. Usually they keep the high-value work on-shore (pestering clients), and offshore the low-value stuff (talking to contractors).

The only thing that worries me about dealing with off-shore recruitment companies is that I don't know what legal rights my company would have if they defaulted on paying or if there was some other dispute.

We wouldnt mind if we get our Techie work back at the expense of pimp bieng outsourced .....
Local pimps should find more meaningful and ethical way to live their lives.

Yes, some recruitment firms are refusing to lower their margins, so the contracts are been given to Indian outsourcers. They may not be able to fill all the roles in the short term, so Indian recruitment firms are getting involved.Originally posted by lightng View PostJust had a call from an indian recruitment firm about a contract in the UK. Don't think the contracts will come with extentions
