Which resort? It's pretty cold in the alps at the moment, but there hasn't been snow for a while. More expected mon-wed.

Just picked up my skis from their mid-season service. They desperately needed re-waxing.

    I'm going skiing!

1 hour to go here on client's site in central London. Got my car outside fully loaded with my skis to drive to stay in the country for the night, and then airport tomorrow morning.

I wondered that. Apparently it's due to inane comments in the thread about the pope saying that condom use increases the spread of aids.

I mean, inanity is normal in CUK, so I can't really see what the fuss was about, but I did notice that when asked to be equally offensive about other religions, he couldn't do that, and had to stick with various flavours of Christianity, which was rather feeble. I guess he's one of those anti-evangelist types who insist on imposing their anti-religious views on anyone who'll pay attention, even if it is just to argue. I blame that Dawkins fellow. People really should think for themselves rather than relying on the teachings of some pontiff.

Yep But this could be our year - however chances are, I have just jinxed it!

I know... I'd be happy just to do it this year and then not get the wooden spoon again for a while

Same result; you'll both be hoping for a celebration.
