Save it as an editable PDF format.
Pop it on a laptop.
Then you can sit in the garden, having a beer, and do the puzzle without the mess and inconvenience of using a pen/pencil.

The blue ones for scribbling in the corners of the boxes when you think you know the number, but are not quite sure.
Then the black one for definite numbers.
After 4 or 5 pints though I think it will be academic.
