London is great BB...you can't compare Dusseldorf to London...I drive there a lot during the weekend, love the markets, and love walking on the southbank ... love going to the theatres, I just find the atmosphere really good... I think to enjoy London all you have to do is do not use the underground .. driving inthe weekend is not bad and you can park on singl yellow line ...

Nonsense.
I paid the princely sum of £150 for my Volvo.
And about £200 for a new set of tyres.
And about a pint and a half of oil a week...

£500 for a car? Me thinks a skip on wheels would be the result.Originally posted by FranckoBuy an old audi/volkswagen for 500 quid.

Buy an old audi/volkswagen for 500 quid. They run forever. Tax, just buy it somewhere else in Europe and don't claim it in England, same for insurance, petrol, well you have to carry a long tube in your car, see... now you can probably get away with that... but try not to buy an underground ticket or jump the gates and they will shoot you..!!! Oh dear England, always the same.Originally posted by voronOf course not. Public transport costs me £144.10 p/m. I'd have to purchase a car (I know feck all about cars, but I should imagine a reasonable second hand one would cost £3-4k), tax, insurance, petrol, big pair of fluffy dice. How far do you think my BK rate goes???
