This is the first time in years I've not had to bother with Valo's day. No pressure trying to think up novel ways to show how much you love the other half.. It was great.
I'm not bitter, its actually a relief not to bother with all this carp..

I went out and got 15 quid worth of fillet steaks to cook for dinner, she ended up coming back pissed from the pub and has now went to bed.

I got her a new potato peeler.
Actually this year was just cards to each other : money is still tight.
Her card was from moonpig and had my photo on the front.

I made a 15-foot-high heart in the snow on our back lawn - had to wait for her to get to sleep so was out shovelling 4-inch deep snow at 1am!
