    Ah ok. My understanding was that they grew out of the ashes of Scimitar and were a family run business. The About Us page has more details.

    It does mention a relationship with iBridge - their "computer system partner". Perhaps that is the CUK link?

    True - buy an MX5/Eunos in the winter then sell it in the summer and you'll easily make some money on it.

    I had a 1960 registered VW beetle bought for £2k sold a year later for £2,750 and didnt do a thing to it!

    It's just the first gen that were branded differently in Japan:

    In Japan, the car was not badged as a Mazda, as the company was experimenting with the creation of different marques for deluxe models, similar to Nissan's Infiniti and Toyota's Lexus. Instead, the Mazda MX-5 was sold as the Eunos Roadster in that market.
