Indeed it was, and a pretty fruitless exercise. Oh well.

They tell me InfraRed Space Telescopes are all the rage,
But I do Love a little poetry.

Looking up at the stars, I know quite well
That, for all they care, I can go to hell,
But on earth indifference is the least
We have to dread from man or beast.

How should we like it - were stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
    If equal affection cannot be,
Let the more loving one be me.

Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn,
I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day.

Were all stars to disappear or die,
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime,
Though this might take me a little time.

I prefer astronomy during the day. It's warmer. Apparently, if you look in the right direction at the right time, Jupiter is visible in a telescope during the day. ( But don't look at the sun, unless you want firey eyes ).

    Yeah, right. Nearly convincing.

    Going out dogging, are we?

Edit: And changing your Avatar by removing the dog has only confirmed our suspicions!

There was an article in the times last week (friday, i think) about the comet. It's most visible around 3-4am. Also the times article gave the best constellation pin points as to where it would be.
