Oh I see. No, there was no depth of character, but that would have got in the way of that particular story.

But reading The Exorcist gave me the heeby jeebies. Late at night, on my own in the house, I kept hearing things in the loft.

I recorded "Hitchhikers Guide" last night.........
Now I am wondering if its worth watching. BRILLIANT books... sh*te TV... Oh well nowt else to do - unless CUK picks up quickly!!

I haven't read Alien - but its was hardly an great intelectual challenge as a film......(I am not saying it was a bad film(... but I expect the book would have had greater depth of charactor and story............

I HATE the films, but know that I'll watch the rest of them when they come out.

The books are far better than the films. But the books are mediocre.

What can I say - I enjoyed the books. A good yarn, reasonably well written.

And Stephen Fry reads the books on tape better than I ever could.
