ain't that the truth. My CH stopped working a couple of weeks ago. Not knowing anything about plumbing I looked it up on google and heh presto fixed the problem without needing the services of those robbing bast'ds.

I don't think of it as porn, it's just really ******* funny.
I've dropped them off too. I suppose it was a part of the net's earlier history that a list of links could be interesting in itself.

Last on mine was a cookery page: http://www.thesalmons.org/lynn/dishwasher.html

Agree on the web 2.0 rubbish - I love it when some bright spark decides to pay 100000000000 $ for someone's website. Idiots. I think the Time Warner - AOL debacle still takes the Darwin prize for idiocy.

nah, they've just changed their revenue model to advertising

if they hadn't they would have become even less relevant than it already was

Facebook, Myspace, Bebo - they're all aimed at the kids anyway

I've spent most of this afternoon on the bench watching youtube clips of Mock The Week

Free porn is the best I can come up with

Seriously, if you want the inside track on anything t'internet can't be beaten.

e.g. your central heating stops working, in the past you would have been hostage to a brigade of teeth sucking frauds delighted to rip you off. Now you can find out which part has gone wrong and how much it should cost to fix.

I estimate t'internet has saved me thousands of pounds

Notice friendsreuinted have now waived the £7.50 a year subscription fee?.. They missed the boat big time. The creators who pocketed £130 million or whatever from ITV must be laughing every day they wake up.

started a topic I'm bored with the internet.

    I'm bored with the internet.

It used to be a master of time suckage but now I can't be @rsed with it.

What do people use it for that's new or innovative?

It has made certain tasks much easier, granted - the fact that I can do all my xmas shopping whilst still in my dressing gown is a fine example.

Facebook is just friendsreunited with pictures and annoying apps and so I wouldn't be surprised if it dies the same death.

I'm not arrogant or interesting enough to have my own myspace page and have no interest in looking at anyone elses.

Surely free pron is not the best we can come up with is it?

Please help as I have waaay too much time on my hands and need the distraction.

No, the irony that I have posted this carp on an internet forum is not lost on me.

Working...
