    Completelty untrue but everyone seems to think otherwise, a nurse once told me that as well. Paracetemol and booze are perfectly OK.

    Although I know of someone who had to get rushed to hospital after taking 4 different flu remedies which all contained paracetemol. Just saved their liver.

    Take a heavy hammer (4lb will do). Place your non-hammer-wielding hand on a firm surface, such as a kitchen worktop (might want to use a chopping board with a damp cloth placed underneath to prevent any accidents). Smash the hammer as hard as you can onto the thumb of the hand on the firm surface. Bingo! You can no longer feel the pain in your toe. I think I missed a trick by not going into medicine.

    I can highly recommend 2 x co-codamol in a 30/500 tablet (you might need a scrip in UK - got mine from Andorra). It probably won't hurt anymore, but even if it does, you won't give a tulip.

    If you can't get hold of them, go for nurofen plus. Just make sure you eat before you take a big dose as nobody like to wake up with a stomach ulcer...

    Yes, there are many people who are either allergic and/or feel no effect. You can get a couple of diazamols from the doctor for use before going to see the Dentist, for example. You still feel the pain, but you don't care, is great.

    Diclofenac (Voltaren) is pretty effective, as has been said - not compatible with high blood pressure though. But, I think, it requires a prescription?

    I'm wearing some on day 1 so hopefully not too bad, thank heavens for Dr Martens comfy shoes.

    It’s common sense leadership like that that we need now.

    IMF Economic Recovery Advice;

    All stock market traders and business directors to stop for 15 minutes and have a nice cup of tea. Problem solved.

    Right, I'm off for a cuppa.
