What would happen if, because of the economy, each party point blank refused to get elected? Perhaps ensuring so by coming out with policies such as snooping on everyone's mail and basing the future economy on new types of frilly knickers and other hot fashion accessories? Nah that's a fairytale of course, they'd fill their big frilly boots regardless of the state of the economy, then emigrate. Boomed.

Didn't Major win in 92 at the height of the last recession. When things are tough, I think the natural inclination is to stick with what you know. Plus Cameron, Osbourne are distinctly untrustworthy. Can't we have that Ken Clark back?
Having said that, I doubt "Bottler" Brown will have the gumption to go for an early election. I suspect he'll try and stick it out until 2010 (when he'll lose). Unless Mandy twists his arm of course.

The ONLY chance Brown has is if he goes in the Spring of 2009, even then I do not think he can do it, but it is his ONLY chance.

Brown has made a balls of the economy, the "boom" was financed by public and private debt, borrowing will top £100 billion in a year or two, which is about £2500 for every tax payer, and that is just for one year.

The only policies that count are the one's of those in power, sadly.

    Brown calling snap election

Now that things are so good and that Brown has saved the world he is rumoured to be considering an election early next year. After all, if he waits he knows that unemployment could well be an official 3 million by the end of 2009, and rising.

Working...
