Well DaveB ltd's money is all with Cater Allen, which is owned by Santander, who seem to be one of the more stable institutions atm. 2nd biggest retail bank in europe they just bought up the high street and savings operations of Bradford and Bingley.

Fortunately I've got enough stashed in savings to cover CT and VAT for this year. Fingers crossed for the business A/C!Originally posted by Old Greg View PostBut no good for business accounts (unless anyone can tell me otherwise). I see Northern Rock has pulled its Business Reserve. Just imagine if your Ltd's bank went kaput and you had to reclaim your money but your CT and VAT is due now... There again, I'm sure HMRC would talk to the compensation scheme people and cancel it out on your behalf

Surely all your savings will be covered by the government guarantee? I mean as a tester you cant't have much surelyOriginally posted by DiscoStu View PostI'm thinking I'd rather deal with a slightly crappier interest rate instead of faffing about claiming my money back if another bank ends up folding like a cheap suit...
