It would be too late then - I believe the process is to first delete the offending posts, then bann someone!!

You need an alert as soon as an offensive post is made... but this way you'll be getting alerts 24/7

Not that a troll fight provides any entertainment.

I missed it for the same reason. Perhaps the software could be changed so that when someone is banned, they automatically disappear from your ignore list.
