I like the fact that with all the banter and BS thats thrown around, we can take it. I like the fact that the mods boys let us get on with it as long as it's not blatant racism or gangster style death threats, and I like the fact that you can have completely different views argued, and argued, and argued and if you feel someone is being a dick, you can tell them so.

And the other thing is, as much as we use 'named profiles' a number of us know each other, we have worked together, drunk together(some of us had sex together(hey SA )) and provided insight into our other interests/ideas/businesses and on that basis we are not scared, frightened or feel that the 'powers that be' are out to get us and we're crusaders and activists against the world. We stand on our own two feet, we dont make excuses, we dont snivel and wrigle, we're proud to be part of a democracy, proud to be individuals, proud to contribute to the country, proud to be us!!

We know who we are and we're proud!

Crikey - I agree with Tay. Stranger things have happened.
    TLG too... WHS.
Dalek. Great trolling btw. Are you Likely's alias by any chance?

Meths or Toilet Duck with your lunch - which was it?

    Again, regard the poll stats.

I love you, by the way, and always have.

    Aye.

http://www.urban75.org/info/libel.html - "You can't defame nicknames when people don't know who they are. ". If he was just talking about AtW then it's fine - talking about specific personal names providing links to their site and then making seriously bad comments is not wise unless those people are politicians and other folk who due to their public status can be expected to take flak but even in this there are lines not to be crossed.

I really wish that I was not involved in it at all, and I ignored completely the fact that Likely posted link to personal info about me which is what matters bad because his comments would appear to be not in light of saying something to anonymous name but to very identifiable person suggesting that that person's business is engaged in deceit.

I mean, how would anyone feel if someone posted link to your LTD website with CV/client list (many don't have it public but imagine you do) and said that you specifically (he created thread about how ugly I look like - something that I ignored totally) deceive your clients? If you don't respond to this it would mean that you agree with his statement but he kept digging himself deeper and deeper.

Maybe there should be a rule on this site which prohibits posting any personal information about its members - I am not suggesting this to protect me, you know I am not afraid of people associating me with specific real life person, but it seems to me his started thread about me personally saying I am serial killer (I ignored that) made it inevitable I'd post there at some point and he'd try to wind me up or something, in a way he succeeded (if he planed that), even though I think he was just acting on impulse saying things in the heat of the moment that he was not meant to. Which is why I asked him repeateable to evaluable his statements in light of new information he received and reconsider. What more could I do? All I effectively said that if it was in court then I'd easily disprove his statements that he'd have to prove - this made his posting libel that can potentially cost him

I mean we all have fun here and I do say stuff like guru and all that, but if I knew sasguru's real business I would not be posting about it here and I certainly would not be saying he deceives clients etc - that's serous stuff that can affect people in real-life, any responsible person would be very careful about things like that - it can cause real very serious damage, the only consequence of which would be that the person in question would have to sue the guy who made wrong statements if only to clear their name (nevermind money), that's why I pressed him to retract statements because I don't want to be sueing people (it's expensive and very aggravating to all sides).
