I always preferred Computer Weekly. Mainly cos they had DPM's Diary on the back page.

I was subscribed to the paper copy of Computing for years, but got bored of it. So last subscription time I ignored the request to do an Internet survey for annual renewal. Some while later they phoned me up and asked me the same sort of questions as in the web questionaire, but instead of telling porkies about sharing it with 4 other people, I buy stuff etc, I stayed honest. It stopped coming for a few months but has now started arriving again.

“Top-quality contractors will always find work, but there will now be increased pressure for them to demonstrate how good they are through recognised, independent qualifications. Contractors tend to be cut before permanent staff and those not keeping up with the latest demands for skills could find themselves out in the cold.
