Oh i'm sure the made up mafia will nip into his garden in the middle of the night, rip it off the wall, stick a tube stuck to a car exhaust through the wall and leave the engine running while selling the part of air con that they have for scrap metal on the black market.

The fact it is round the back means they aren't likely to be disturbed, see I have thought of every angle

Next time you go to an office with air conditioning, have a look outside at the big fan units bolted to the outside of the wall. That is what you will have bolted to your house (I would suggest situating it in the garden where

the local chavs can't throw things at it).

You are best off taking a brick out (cut the mortar away around it) and then cut the brick to fit and mortar it back in using some expandable foam and the putty they supply to fill in the gaps left over. I would suggest a good SDS drill with a cold chisel attachment to remove the mortar, but don't get too carried away, you will destroy the brick if you do

Keeps the office nice and cool when it is sunny and all the machines are humming away. I did however install it myself which is a much cheaper option than getting a so called "professional" in to do it.
