Been thinking about getting a 30" Apple display to double as TV (hey I have a small flat). Anyone else got this setup?

You definitely get what you pay for with these HD flat screen TV's. Myself and family members have recently bought a few between us. We've bought Samsung and Sony and not been disappointed with any of them between 20" and 42".

Its main source in terrestrial digital - it has a built in decoder.
In some things it's great, others crap. XBOS is great. New DVD's are excellent, new TV programmes are excellent too.
Anything that is a bit old is pretty dire. Lot's of ghosting round movement, characters. The channel 4 logo is particularly bad. Cleary the decoding isn't necessarily great depending upon the media source.
So, whatever you device, try and play a selection of media through it first. Also watch some things that move quickly.
Of course mine is a few months old now so no doubt hopelessly out of date....
Apart from the issue with the Channel 4 Logo its been fantastic, although it did take a little while to get the colour balance right as out of the box settings were rubbish.
apart from the TV viewing (Virgin media standard cable box) everything is done through the PS3 and a HDMI connection. Really can't fault it.

Do what I do wait until the middle of football season and talk to some jumped up sales man from curries... pay over the top and then realise if you had waited until the season had quietened down you'd have got the same box for half the price...
