to be frank I don't actually need a car
I don't do my hobbies anymore where I needed to drive to places twice a week etc.
I walk to work, I get taxis home from my boozing activitiesLast edited by contractor79; 4 August 2008, 16:21.

What is your mileage?Originally posted by contractor79 View PostI need to a car, to lease mainly
I could easily live without a car, however
but every contractor needs a nice car, right?
so what would you suggest
a mercedez clk looks nice but is about £300/month to lease... one day's work?
I was wanting to lease, but, as I am doing 30K’s, could not get a high mileage friendly leasing deal, hence bought.

Go for something where the cost of the lease over 3 years is less than the depreciation hit of the same period. That used to be fairly hard, these credit crunched days leasing seems the wiser, less costly option. Watch out for caveats in the contract.
