    confirmed the perm role , at least it will be easy enough to retrain whilst earning a few beer tokens for doing not much work and it`s close to home.

    This will be the wrong answer but - take the contract. If the perm job does not interest before you start it really isn't going to get any better.
    Been there, done that and it was f-ing awful

    i am in the posistion of having 2 offers on the table.

    A) perm role which does not intrest me much but is a way back into employment paying 8k less than what i was on in my last job.

    b)contract paying 22 p/h but only 3 months

    more money or job for a while while looking for something better.
