Stashed a loaded mag in his webbing during the excercise and not handed it in / forgotton about it till he came to reload for the demo and grabbed a "fresh" magazine from his webbing.....?

Surely someone who made it to Sergent whould know the difference between blanks and live rounds? Doesn't one have a pointy metal bit sticking out of the ne dof the cartridge and the other not?
