Aren't Plan Bs supposed to be Something Completely Different? Yours sounds like yet more banging away at a PC, albeit at home instead of an office.
It’s very different from the ‘day job’ It’s internet marketing so I’m building my own sites and email subscriber lists, when fully up and running it’s quite passive. I’m at a crossover point now where I just need a few internet marketing/SEO gigs for other people to tide me over until my own sites/lists can support my lifestyle.
I’ve flipping had enough of doing it around a 40 hour week day job – now I’ll be doing it as my full time living albeit for other people for a bit. Full time being a lot less than 40 hours a week, and I get to work in the garden and potter around and go to the gym etc when I feel like it.
Much better than getting up, wearing a suit and shoving my way through the underground and all that malarky
I'm about to be a paid up member of this summer skivin' lark.
After 16 months of full-time contracting, I've got a gig for 30 days work over 3 months. So I'll be taking it easy and enjoying the company of Mrs OG and the now imminent Young Greg (or Gregoria).
Edit: where have my posts gone - I'm sure I was at nearly 2000?
Hi OG
Congratulations!
You've got 190 posts in LR - they no longer count towards total post count

Wow, this is the life ... been contracting eight years, was permie for eight before that ... finished up my last contract 7 weeks ago and enjoying life with the wife and kids (2 and 4 months) ... don't know why I didn't do it sooner!!!
My advice to fellow 'tractors is: TAKE TIME OUT, IT WILL GIVE YOU A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON WHAT'S REALLY IMPORTANT (RELATIVELY SPEAKING) ...
