Last time I was in that position, I built a multiplayer 'get Osama' game in msaccess. Fkin good it was too
Unusually for M$ I wouldn't say it's bloated at all, and is now part of .NET 3.5 runtime. The original installer for WCF, WWF and WPF combined was only a mere 50Mb - positively unheard of for an M$ release
