I was on 1 site for just over a year, while they were experiencing high turnover. It turned into a running joke after a while. One time after one of their guys had just handed in notice, the conversation went something like:
- "I don't suppose you want x's job do you?"
- "Nope but thanks for asking"
- without even looking up from the adjacent urinals we were using at the time.

half the places I have worked have asked me if I'd like to go permie, par for the course IMHO.

For permie conversions, isn't there a DayRate multiple to calculate the permie salary?

I asked the boss of this company about a permanent position. I said to myself, “there is no such thing as permanent. Just make hay while the sun shines as it will all end in tears some day”. He’s a wise man.

Went for a permie interview this morning. He even mentioned how much the canteen has improved in an effort to convince me.

Today is the last day on the job.
Agent asked if I'd be interested in a premie job, I say's 'I'm no that desperate yet'

Funnily enough, about a year and a half ago, I did ask if they would consider taking me on as a permie, as they could make considerable cost savings by doing so.
Nothing's changed since then.
Ah well...you try and help some people....
