Sorry let me clarify, 3G as in video to video phone calls. Mine is great for calling home and seeing the kids if I can't get back before they go to bed (which is more often than not).

It doesn't, those are diary entries for the day shown underneath as you can see when the display chnages to list all entries for the day. If it is something you can’t live without – how come the picture shows two missed calls a long time apart. Makes it look like something the user doesn’t want to be anywhere near. Sack the marketing department!
