Sardinia is cheap to fly to, £41 in middle of August.

Then find an apartment or villa here http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk

No chavs/brits stinking the place up.

    FAB.

Although dunno what its like in Aug?

I will second that. Mrs Beaker and I went last year 3 times (over weekends). Cheap flights, good hotels, nice beaches & restaurants and the best weather in Spain (apparently). And hardly any Brits. They don't speak English too well, but as long as you can order food you're laughing.

La Manga (of English footballers' fame) is in Alicante. Nice place but it might break your budget.
