An argument about whether foreigners are more likely or only equally likely to commit crime given similar income levels is missing the essential point of nationality Threaded.
We are stuck with our own criminal classes but we have no duty to take in anyone else's. A decent immigration policy should be vetting incomers and they should not be simply average but far better than us. Do the US/Canada/NZ/Oz take in unemployable white youths from sink estates along with the professional sorts to ensure British migrants are representative of British citizens? Of course not.
Migrants over represented in low income groups? If that is the case, what benefit are they exactly?

If you are the Home Office you don't count EU citizens as being foriegn.
If you are a school teacher you regard anyone without a good grasp of English as foriegn whether they are from Poland, Portugal or Ghana.
Also the foreigners I seem to meet are all rich/better off than the average Brit. However it doesn't stop them being mugged.
