He forgot to mention the banana skin under the other foot, seeing as he'd dropped it moments earlier and slipped as he came back from parking the trolley.

From the BBC story - The judge said he had concluded there was some sort of crushed fruit or similar on the underside of Mr Martin-Sklan's right sandal.

    Should have worn normal shoes.

I bet he looks where he is walking in the future

Glad he lost - shame about the injuries but FFS. Hope he got a good telling off for being so stupid and trying to be a money grabber

What was wrong with his sense of balance that he could slip on a grape FFS? I see that other twat who tried to sue Ladbrokes for allowing him to gamble lost too. Excellent!

yes, judges can be quite cool sometimes.

I think with the William Hill one there was at least a case to answer, so that was an interesting one to watch. But I'm glad it went the way it did.

Only problem this guy is allowed to appeal.
"Even now, despite facing a bill for £335,500 in costs, he might have one final flutter with the legal system as he was given permission to appeal."

Can you ******n believe it - 335 grand in costs to bring up this case - now THATs even more ridiculous than his own case.

"Had William Hill taken care to exclude Mr Calvert from telephone gambling for six months, his pathological gambling disorder would still probably have brought about his financial ruin, but over a longer period of time," he said.

"This is because he would have continued to gamble both at William Hill's betting shops and with other bookmakers."

It was "malco" in my day.

Very few of these stupid claims do succeed, fortunately.

Hmmm, I haven't said "Common sense prevails" in a long time, and doubt I will again any time soon
Mr Martin-Sklan has to pay around £15,000 towards Marks and Spencer's costs and was given 28 days to pay an interim sum of £7,500.

Why not abdicate personal responsibility for your own wellbeing, and walk away with a small fortune because you DON'T WATCH WHERE YOU'RE EFFING GOING!!"

"I definitely recommend Vexatious Litigation Ltd, they really helped me. They dealt with all the complicated legal stuff, what I don't understand, and explained that I would be able to screw over... ahem... get my fair share of compensation from my former employers. Plus, since bad backs are notoriously difficult to diagnose or disprove, I've filed a claim for full disability benefits, and I'll never have to get off my fat arse and earn a living again. I cant believe the attitudes on this board. Grape is a very serious offence and the conviction rate is way too low. No wonder many people, accountants included, dont report it.
The effects of grape can include depression especially if you get done by a bunch of them
