    You're not thinking like a proper contractor.

    60p for 45 seconds is £48 p/h or £384 per day.

    If your rate is more than that you've made a profit.

    Just charge the client and get over it

    Edit: obviously, expense the sarnie as well.

    Yes, VAT on takeaway (hot) food was introduced by the Tories. Of course, it's not just the 17.5% on the item, it's all the extra costs that stem from accounting for it.
