I am hoping like the Dr says, this would go away.. we'll see what happens over the weekend, if by Monday no changes in the pain levels, I'll insist on follow up and a different scan
Shouldn't you have posted this in the "Weekend plans..." thread?

It is very common for cysts to form on the ovaries, and usually they clear themselves up without any trouble.

Surgery is only normally necessary if the cyst doesn't sort itself.

Mrs Gonzo had to have one removed last year, it had got to 18 pints (we had just thought that she had been getting a bit fat over the previous couple of years ).

Mrs Gonzo was fortunate in that she was referred to a consultant that will drain and remove them using keyhole surgery. He is not available on the NHS though.

Good luck Sandy, I hope you get better soon.

I've always been lucky with my health so I can't imagine how awful it must be.

thanks BP, spoke to a few Med people I know this pm, and they all agree, waiting and observing for a few days is better than rushing to the theatre... but my condition needs to be followed up whatever the outcome.
