    Just say you've come back from a holiday in Congo and you are displaying the following symptoms:

    Diarrhea, dark and bloody feces, vomiting blood, red eyes due to distention and hemorrhage of sclerotic arterioles, petechia, maculopapular rash, and purpura, hypotension, hypovolemia, tachycardia, organ damage due to disseminated systemic necrosis, and proteinuria.

    But being a contractor, you're quite happy to come in as always.

    Just get a contract where the client expects you to be working from home the majority of the time.

    Anyway there are loads of deliveries of bulky furniture you can have i.e. sofas, wardrobes, fridges, washing machines, freezers, tumble dryers.....
