When I was at Uni in the TA some bright spark decided it would be a good idea for us to go and do a visit to the Royal Marines training camp.
F*cked was not the word. I am convinced that I did die.

Isn't sex the best exercise? I'm sure I read somewhere that each orgasm burns up 500 calories. Edit: that's why I'm putting on weight.

3 sets of 10 lunges on each leg.
3 sets of 10 squats
3 sets of 10 on each leg where I put my foot behind me on a bench and squat backwards
then a load of hand weight repititions while moving on my exercise ball
I'm aching like **** this morning!!
It's all good though - I think I finally understand the importance of building up muscles, aswell as doing cardiovascular (thanks mostly to some of you lot on here actually).

Have you started lunges yet?
Step forward as far as you can bringing your trailing knee as close to the gorund as possible and keeping a perfect 90 degree angle with your front knee. Hold it for 5-10 seconds and then step up and forward into another lunge.
Walk round the room like this a few times and it will kill you. Amazing how hard such a seemingly simple exercise can be

Started an 8 week exercise program yesterday to build on my fitness regime <angelic smilie> and some of the muscles I used last night mustn't have been used in years, cause my legs felt like they were going to give way when I tried walking down the stairs afterwards!!!
Anyone else on a fitness regime? (It's a popular time of year for it!)
