    Same here. I don't get fat over the feastive Cristmas period, I just get hotter and less hungry. My brother screwed his knees and lower back from running. He is 14 stone though. I swim, etc and have no joint problems.

    I do actually- can't remember the make, saucony or something like that.

    Some people made me run barefoot on the treadmill and filmed my feet then sold me some special expensive ones. Got rid of my shin splints

    Well I use the trick of buying very tight clothes so that I am forced to lose weight. It generally works and keeps me in shape when I go over the top with food.
