Proposal wasn't anything flash, but I got married in Central Park, on Bow Bridge to be precise (It's been in a tonne of movies, very beautiful spot). Had a piper pipe my wife to the bridge, and a small intimate ceremony with just close friends was attended by several hundred spectators ;-)

I really fear for your future wife!!!Originally posted by Sockpuppet View PostTreat 'em mean etc...
If...and its a big if... I ever get married I am going start dropping hints to her friends (who no way on earth as they are women are they going keep it a secret)
Also to start taking city breaks to "romantic" places like rome, venice, paris etc ....
Then never propose.
Just when all hope is extinguished pop the question in a Little Chef on the A5 or possibly A46.
They'll never see it coming - that way you get the real reaction not the "i had no idea" yet we seem to be in venice for some random reason reaction.
Women, so easy to confuse them...bless.

Not really. Um, a "friend" of mine told me these people provide a classy and discreet experience.Originally posted by SallyAnne View PostIf it was in this country, it would involve picking up some skanky street walker, and doing it in a seedy back alley.

And also, probably more importantly...in this country, I'm here! Him going with someone over here is him choosing someone over me. Never acceptable.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostBut what about a "one-off special" in this country? That would be wrong, but Amsterdam would be OK?
I'll never understand the way women work.
