I had the most fantastic cup cake yesterday, from the little cake shop in Kirribilli....plain cake with a little heart cut in the top filled with lemon curd and the middle of the little cake was full of fresh cream yum! They also had butterfly cakes.

    Hello everyone

I think my favourite is homemade cheesecake with freshly made raspberry sauce.

or could it be blackberry cheescake?
I bought a Scottish carrot cake once when I was a student, and wolfed down the lot at one sitting. It was unbelievably dense, almost like a brick of depleted uranium, and I had to lie on a bed for a couple of hours wondering if or when my stomach would explode like that guy in the Monty Python restaurant sketch.

They just had parkin on show in the local sandwich shop ( in deepest north ), no vanilla slices so I went for a caramel slice.
