Job done, I shall be unemployed from tomorrow. I hope to be employed on a least a part-time basis by the end of next week.

Finish next Wednesday, but have been offered an extension.

Waiting to hear on another role, another one wants an interview, plus just got an email about a job nearer home that I might be interested in.

Finish next week if all goes well. May ask if there's anything else needs doing but not that bothered.

New gig in November/December, that should last at least a couple of years. The bank isn't exposed to US sub-prime so I'm pretty confident it will be going ahead.

Don't know about .NET but market for Oracle DBA seems to be dead at the moment. On the bench for one month and counting.

I saw an ad for .Net the other day, senior developers at an IB paying £500-600.

The thing is, if you're all .NETters sooner or later there's going to be oversupply... just like in Java land.

I don't think it is. I've had agents commit hari kari when I've said I'm not available.

I thought the market was dying a painful death-defying deadly death?

I'm busy till next summer (i think) and even then I'm working on another direct client who will probably have some work kicking off soon after that.

Agencies seem to be pretty busy though, getting plenty of calls which end as soon as i tell them I'm busy - i.e. no fishing for details!

Once again, not me I'm here until end of March. Then I might take a week off, but then again I might sign for another 6 months

I know it is difficult to tell sometimes, but those things are called "dogs".
