    i like scotland, and the scottish.. there are statues of scots at england's two biggest clubs.. matt busby and bill shankly - freakin giants among men, particularly shanks.. i'm not a liverpool fan but what he and his boot room understudies achieved is staggering.

    I am genuinely pleased for Scotland. I regard them as one of the worlds best football nations (especialy when you take size into account). I still feel Celtic winning in Europe with a local footie team is one of the achievements of all time.
    I don't see it as rivalry, I see it as a measure of our success this tournament and if I was English, I would take it as a compliment that my team was being used as the yard stick...

    I would not say issues, most Scots will agree that we will never be quite as good as England but we are a smaller country etc. I can't recall another time when we were so close to England in the rankings.......
