I prefer to go in, and then get sent home ill. Gives the boss a chance to see that I am actually ill and not skiving.. but then I guess it's different if you're a permie and get paid for being off ill...I'd rather turn up dribbling snot or whatever and spend a wasted £4 on the train than have my team thinking I'm taking the p1ss..

    Winner.
I prefer to drink (sorry, work) from home when I'm ill. I'm doing this at the moment and its much better than going into the office and having to put up with all the whining.

PS - thanks to all those 'indispensable' people who gamely struggled in and infected everyone else.

    I always come in ill.

    1. You get paid
    2. You get a chance to give the piss taking git next to you, the one who has been saying "how's your 'man flu'?" a nasty illness.
    3. You appear to put the project deadline above your own health.

You work on my team and I claim my 2 neurofen and a sit down in trap three of the toilets upstairs for the afternoon

dont worry baggy, he'll wake up one day and realise he will never get further up the ladder by impressing people with hard effort and long hrs, it's all down to being shrewd and ensuring your actually worth something to the company (if permie), or simply get the job done and dont bitch (if contractor)

How is it possible to be so keen? He must love his job.
