For Heaven's sake don't waste money buying them. I have hundreds of self-improvement ebooks. Not that I've ever read any, but they're among my 100,000 plus collection of ebooks. (Beat that if you can AtW )

Install Windows desktop search or google desktop search. Let the thing index the directory where the ebooks are. If they are PDF , you might need to download a add-on to read that.

Well , after having spent about a decade reading technical books only , I decided to find something other to read. I was browsing amazon for self-improvement books ( biz , productivity related ) – ones that make you better. Frankly there are thousands, it is almost like everybody has written one. One that cought my attention was “Meditation for dummies” lol . Might give it a try ( at least I will have a laugh )
Another one that I ve been hearing all over the place is the “4 hours Work Week”

"Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill is good for focusing your mind on achieving what you want. "The E Myth Revisited" by Michael E Gerber is a practical way to do it.
"Eat that frog" by Brian Tracy is good for getting loads of important stuff done to free up time for that very important 97% of other stuff you are aiming to achieve

For example when I feel fear or anger I've been trying to train myself to , as i call it , "cut the thought (or feeling) at the source". Basically by "fading-out" , not thinking about this. I've been trying to apply it since 2001 , but is hard. If you are to change your thought process fundamentally you have to be persistent , apply the principles everyday.
If I buy the Think and Grow Rich , ( written in the 30ies) , and don't like it , where do I claim my rupees ?
1. I want to gain control of my mind and to be able to maintain constant focus and concentration on a particular subject – say a new business idea. A bit of a change from now - 97 percent of my thoughts are devoted to cute chicks , fast cars , big houses and big dreams.
2. Become patient and persistent in realizing my business ideas.
The 97% of your thoughts in point 1 should be able to help you achieve point 2.
