Never really understood the attraction of celebrating New Year. My wife always wants to celebrate it, but I never have and can't see the point of it.

This New Year should be OK as I'll be non-contactable, drinking some nice French champagne, in the middle of nowhere.

Honestly, I am not sure - I suppose it's never been a "fun" time for me, so I tend to just ignore it if I can, which is next to impossible really. Jeez, that makes me sound so miserable....
