Yeah I knew it wasn't in Berlin, was just making another suggestion, only ever been to Germany once for a night out, guess the old prejudices put me off, having said that, every german I've worked with has been very friendly.

I went to Berlin last year with work. I did a huge walking tour around the city - It's very nice but a bit new for my tastes - I wonder why that is?

I quite enjoyed a short trip to brussels, but then again I do like Belgian Beer and Moules mariniere. Some quite nice restaurants there.
For a short break I'd be tempted by Berlin, moreover isn't octoberfest on soon!?
