Chester is very nice but if you don't speak Polish you are going to be in the minority these days.
A visit to Cheshire Oaks outlet 'mall' is a must if you want to see the ancient art of shoplifting being expertly demonstrated by the scousers.
Are MBNA still there? Went there for an interview once and it was a very strange place.

I used to go out in Chester when I was working in Runcorn (tough choice!)
Go down to the wonderful "Rosie O'Grady's Pump House" for boogying the night away.
