    I had an agent once pump me for current managers' contact details. Can't tell you that until we're looking at a definite prospect, I said, you're just fishing. He laughed and said Yeah, but I've got a job to do.

    That was cool. I was OK with that.

    I had one phone me today about an amazing opportunity (not very progessive of them) and she started drilling me for information about who have i worked for in the past, have I got any interviews lined up, who with, how did my last role go, who was my manager, after a while I got bored and put the phone down on the poor agent.

    In fact I have no problem with agents at all, most of them are nice people and easy to deal with. However, I do not like when "making a living" means lying and then mass-mailing that lie.

    XXX is one of the UK's leading ICT and Business Change staffing companies. You have previously registered your details with us and from our records I believe that we have a position that may be of interest to you.
