    3. If they really want and require your services and there is an urgent requirement, then you will get the SC, more so since you have already had it.
    4. A Crim for ABH is a "change of circumstances", so even if you already held a current and valid SC, you would have had to declare it anyway, and that would have triggered a review regardless.
    5. I reckon you'll get it, but you need to be very upfront, the SC is not a "did he rob banks" , more a "did he rob banks and was he trustworthy when he did it" test

good luck and just apply and be honest.....

Well I guess that sums it all up then............ Honesty it is then.

    Thanks again to Everyone !!!!!

Keep quiet about it. If someone finds out and gives you some grief, just knock their teeth out.

Well I'm obviously not allowed to play devil's advocate and assume guilt, as you've had a bad experience with the law, well that's that then, so much for open discussion.

    I get out plenty, thanks.

That's an argument my Father used to put forward. "If you weren't there it wouldn't have happened."

Things happen and people can get beaten up in a bar for many reasons. The thing is if you then defend yourself you can end up being the one done. It happened to me many years ago and I was defending a girl. Unforftunately the guy I defended her from then got his friends to say that I started it...4 against 1, I got done.

So get off your high horse and get out to the real world you self righteous twerp.

So put it on the form in the secret envelope, and nobody will say a dicky about it. But if you say nothing, you won't get clearance and you may well get a visit from Special Branch....

What about BPSS though (Basic Clearance) - I know that I wouldnt want to employ someone with a conviction for assault regardless of the reasons - it makes me sound violent or something.
