If a comment is edited by a moderator it should be clear that it has been
PS SP will be making us all appear to approve of murdering NICE little fish next.
a) We will all appear to approve of murdering fish, but only where those fish are diminutive in size, and possess a trait of "niceness"
b) We will all appear to approve of murdering fish, regardless of size, where the word "little" signifies the collective of fish, and possess a trait of "niceness"
c) or something else ?

Missing the point geek. If a comment is edited by a moderator it should be clear that it has been.

Originally posted by Board Game GeekI think some of us are missing the point here.
The whole point and purpose of "moderation" is to ensure thats posts (which breach the site's rules and regulations) are either deleted or "toned down" so that they do fall within the guidelines for whatever constitutues as the site's rules and regulations for posting.
I like to think of moderation as "removing the obscene graffiti" and contentious content that is liable to cause offence and get the poster and the site owners in trouble.
If there was no moderation, there would eventually be no site.
Sure...Freedom of Speech and all that, but with Freedoms come Responsibilities. As outlined by the site's T's & C's.
So let's not bash Scotspine for doing a largely unthanked task, and assume he is the enemy for moderating the more offensive posts.
He's doing us a favour, because sometimes we do overstep the mark, and if it wasn't for his moderation, we'd have no site at all.
Have a nice weekend everyone !
