Not quite. If it is Brown, or even Reid, they are nothing new, not personable, and will probably lose the next general election.

If it is Milliband, or some other newby, Mr and Mrs average voter will be tempted to "give them a chance", rather as they did Major in 1992, and we'll get another five years of them.

On Radio 4 this morning the discussion about the leadership concluded that Charles clarke has no chance of getting the 44 signatures required to run which leaves only John Reid.

So whoever wins, it's sh1t street for the rest of us.

He was all for wars in the middle east even though these wars did not benefit the UK in any way that i can see.
