Driving home mid afternoon, spotted a black (as in as black as they come) cloud on the horizon. Passed from bright sunshine into blackness & a snow storm of biblical proportions in a matter of feet- high winds and snow flakes the size of snow balls while motoring at 80+ made for an interesting time.
...& then suddenly it cleared
Also upon a stretch of motorway with a 40mph restriction...which just happened to be a section with those average speed cameras newly installed on their gantries...slowed to 40...passed the first, passed the second and then accelerated ' cos I thought that was that! rounding a bend -too late saw the third gantry and slammed the brakes on - so I expect to receive the 3 points and auto fine soon.
Some ravings of an angry motorist - why restrict a two lane motorway to 40mph when there are still two lanes still open - is it entirely random that the 40 limit was exactly the area covered by the new cameras or a cynical ploy to extract revenue?
Where did I put that thermite?

Gonna be an interesting week. we could take bets on what minimal amount of snow will fall before trains start being cancelled as a result.
Ah, well - three snowflakes in the whole of Sussex overnight - so no trains this morning. finally made it to Southampton at 10:30

Nice weather in Surrey - no snow, not too cold and bright sunshine.

eyeing little girls with bad intent.
Snot running down his nose --
greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.
Drying in the cold sun --
Watching as the frilly panties run.
Feeling like a dead duck --
spitting out pieces of his broken luck.

Gales and driving snow/ice/sleet yesterday, but nothing stayed over night. Bright and sunny this morning.
The tops of the Pennines are still white but nothing lower down.
