don't forget to register any bad drivers:
http://www.baddriving.com/
I just wish the website was better.
Had to log on tonight to register a tit of a driver. He first honks at me for waiting for a red light to stop being red, then over takes me in an urban area, then used the wrong lanes at the next roundabout to cut everyone else up

I'll tie him up a bit tighter and put the keys where he can't reach next time.

Yes there is one of them outside G-Mex in Manchester also.

He'd dive into an empty stretch next to me, but which was not long enough for him to get in front of me. I kept him doing that for over 20 miles until I got bored of him. That passed a bit of time on a long boring journey home.

we have a junction like that near me. its not too bad at rush hour - but when it gets quiet its a recipe for disaster.
I am on the first set of traffic lights into London on the A20...

Unfortunately its not a road traffic offence so no points

You also forget the one about overtaking on the inside. Isn't that still a no-no in the UK?
Also the #143 pops into my head. I recon she scores 3 demerits at least on that rule.
Yeps, justs checked 143 is the one there:
143: DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users. For example
* approaching or at a road junction on either side of the road
* where the road narrows
* when approaching a school crossing patrol
* between the kerb and a bus or tram when it is at a stop
* where traffic is queuing at junctions or road works
* when you would force another vehicle to swerve or slow down
* at a level crossing
* when a vehicle is indicating right, even if you believe the signal should have been cancelled. Do not take a risk; wait for the signal to be cancelled.

AN. I know you are correct when it comes to large vehicles. We have a junction near me where time after time the road goes to the left. There are two lanes and the number of times someone in the left lane goes right across the traffic is incredible.
Ive seen about a dozen accidents so me an the missus drive very carefully when going right incase some twat turns left.
On the whole turning right from a left lane(apart from large vehicles) is wrong.

Admittedly I wouldnt have known who was right or wrong in those circumstances without looking it up. But I always assume every other driver on the road is a complete idiot. Several people have tried to crash into me (in 23 years of driving) and I have avoided them all apart from one. I was doing 30 in a 40 zone and was given 25 feet to stop. I made it down to about 5mph.

Nearly got squished last Friday by a foreign lorry that veered into the middle lane while I was overtaking it. Luckily there was no-one in the outside lane or it would have been an Oraclesmith (& family) sandwich.
Back to the original posting - the 4x4 woman must have pretty much driven into the side of your vehicle without thinking about braking. I mean, you both would have been going from a standing start (I assume) and a 50footer isn't exactly quick off the mark.
Andrew_neil_uk - it's not always the right of way that counts. A friend of mine pulled out of a side turning and got slammed by a car doing well above the speed limit. My friend had supporting witnesses so the insurance company blamed the speeder.

My major bitch is crossroads, there is one junction on the way to work where people turning right think they have right of way over people going straight on.

The worst scum on the roads is those who think they don't need to bother to indicate.
