I had never heard of Butchie's Tune but it was apparently the B-side to Summer in the City which is probably their most famous song.

Just copy and paste some of the words into a lyrics search engine like Genius.com and voila, the answer seems to be Butchie’s Tune by The Lovin’ Spoonful.

What's this song?

Always looking for new songs for me Tuesday karaoke and make a note if summit pops into me head. A bit of Google usually identifies it but can't find this one at all:
