As of two weeks time I will be doing my nightly (during the week) drinking in York.

I don't live in Sunderland but from what you said on an earlier thread I'd reckon there are 5 or 6 miles between us.

Any more tips on pubs in York?

Is that kind of thing normal in York?

And if you know where to look you'll find a shop selling hand made chocolates and you can see them in action in the shop window...

Thanks for the welcome. If I had started yesterday I would have won the Who's in the Most Debt thread.

Yep York is tops. I live about 40 mins away and visit several times a year.

The Kings Head down by the river is great in summer. Being a bit of a history buff I love the museums etc but the Jorvik disappointed me, long queue expensive and lasted about 15 mins. The Castle and Yorkshire museums are good though.

It's good for Pubs etc but lacking on the after 12 activities.
